Summary:

The Development Professional will be a key role in meeting Kainos’ strategic fundraising strategy.  This position will be responsible for maintaining and growing existing relationships with key partners and investors through strong customer service and partnership development.  This position will take a lead role in identifying and cultivating new and supporting existing opportunities for funding streams through grants, agency events, fundraising, annual gifts and corporate sponsorships. 

 

Who We Are Looking for:

-Has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications, Business, Non-profit Administration or other relevant field.

-One year of development and fundraising experience or related experience required.

-Demonstrated experience with grant research and writing.

-Demonstrated ability to complete reports and meet internal and external deadlines.

-Passion for working for non-profits; experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities is preferred.

-Experience with Exceed Fundraising Database System or equivalent donor database experience desired.

-Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to maintain strong working relationships.

-Experience working with all social media venues.

-Experience managing individual or corporate volunteers is preferred.

-Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft office; data entry skills preferred. 

-Be willing to work flexible work hours, including some evenings and weekends (on occasion). Strong organization and time management skills required.
